Lavanya Calyampondi is the founder of Core2Code Healthcare, which she established in 2014. Her mission was to provide high-paying job opportunities to individuals in the healthcare industry.

Under her leadership, Core2Code has been helping young indivduals achieve their career goals and the older population to receive a comforting and caring environment for their healthcare demands.

The Beginning (2014)

  • The IT sector faced a recession due to a lack of necessary skills, leading to lower employment and declining work quality.
  • A well-structured short-term training program was identified as the solution to bridge the skill gap.

The Beginning

Lavanya Calyampondi founded Core2Code Healthcare in her apartment in Chennai with just two students, marking the start of her journey in education and training.

2015
Creating Awareness

Free seminars and career guidance sessions were introduced. The first batch of 20 students secured high-paying jobs, boosting Core2Code’s reputation.

2017
Expansion

Core2Code moved to a commercial space and expanded to Hyderabad and Bengaluru, meeting the rising demand for skilled coders and summarizers.

Empowering Candidates

Over 2,500 candidates, including financially struggling candidates, received free short-term training to gain financial independence.

2020-2022
Online Growth

COVID-19 lockdown accelerated Core2Code’s online training platform, connecting with global job seekers and offering personalized, high-quality training.

Lavanya’s Journey into Medical Coding

  • Coming from a middle-class family, Lavanya’s father was mentally and physically challenged, leaving her parents unemployed.
  • After graduating in 2001 with a Physiotherapy background, she struggled with low pay and unsatisfactory shifts in hospitals.
  • A friend introduced her to Medical Coding, where she found better job satisfaction, financial stability, and work-life balance.
  • With 10 years of experience, she decided to quit her job in 2014 and started an academy from her apartment in Chennai, beginning with two students.

Challenges & Early Growth (2014-2015)

  • Initially, candidates were hesitant to take up training as Medical Coding was a new field.
  • To create awareness, cost-free seminars and career guidance sessions were introduced.
  • The academy gained attention when the first batch of 20 students secured jobs in top companies with high salaries.

Expansion to New Locations (2017)

  • Word-of-mouth referrals led to increased enrollments.
  • In 2017, Core2Code moved to a commercial space and expanded to Hyderabad and Bengaluru, training more candidates for the growing demand in coding and summarization.

Empowering Women with Work-from-Home Opportunities (2018)

  • By 2018, there was a rising demand for work-from-home jobs, especially among young mothers who faced emotional and financial challenges.
  • More than 2,500 candidates were trained, many of whom couldn’t afford the training fee.
  • Cost-free short-term training programs were launched to help mothers achieve financial independence.

Bringing Opportunities to Rural Areas (2018)

  • Under the guidance of a strategic business mentor, Core2Code expanded to rural areas to support job seekers.
  • The main challenge was poor English communication skills.
  • A Corporate English Training Program was introduced, helping candidates overcome communication barriers and land high-paying jobs.

Online Training & Global Reach (2020-2022)

  • The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the growth of Core2Code’s online training platform.
  • Students from around the world enrolled, benefiting from personalized training that competitors couldn’t offer.
